How can we help?

Onboarding guidance and answers to common questions. For anything not covered here, the team is one message away.

Getting started

Who does Aurelian Mercantile work with?
Three categories of counterparty: licensed sellers at origin, refineries and offtake counterparties, and institutions and banks. The terms and the diligence are different for each.
How do I begin onboarding?
Submit an enquiry through the counterparty portal or the contact form. A member of the team responds within two working days and, where appropriate, opens a structured onboarding process.

Responsible sourcing & compliance

What standards does the firm follow?
The OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict Affected and High Risk Areas, and the LBMA Responsible Gold Guidance where applicable. Where local practice is lighter, the firm operates to the higher standard.
What must be in place before a transaction proceeds?
Six gating items: a licensed and bankable seller, verifiable mine origin, independent assay, confirmed refinery intake and contracted offtake, banked settlement, and insurance with a reserve. None are negotiable.

Settlement & access

How is settlement handled?
Funds move through regulated banking channels and documentary instruments only — never cash. The buyer or refinery settles into a banked account against confirmed assay.
Can banks and regulators review documentation?
Yes. Documentation, audit access and counterparty references are available on appropriate terms to any institution conducting bona fide due diligence.
